The work

Establish and maintain clinical-governance policies for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, service authorization, risk management, supervision, consultation, and care transitions.
Define the clinical decision rights of LPHAs, therapists, psychiatric providers, QMHP-CS staff, supervisors, quality personnel, and operational leaders.
Design and oversee a supervision and consultation structure that meets confirmed program and MCO requirements without conflating the Clinical Director title with LPHA status.
Set standards for suicide and safety risk assessment, crisis escalation, incident review, mandated reporting, and coordination with emergency or higher levels of care.
Monitor documentation quality, medical necessity, utilization patterns, clinical variation, corrective action, and selected quality indicators across programs.
Lead clinical peer review, case consultation, competency expectations, and service-readiness decisions for privileged clinical functions.
Support payer credentialing, audits, program implementation, and responses to confirmed MCO clinical-leadership requirements.
Partner with psychiatric, operational, compliance, quality, and executive leadership to resolve risks and translate requirements into workable clinical systems.
Report material clinical risks, trends, capacity constraints, and corrective-action status to executive leadership and governance bodies.
