Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist

Provide evidence-informed psychotherapy while collaborating with families, psychiatric providers, mental health case managers, rehabilitation specialists, and community partners. This role is designed for a clinician who connects strong clinical judgment with genuine human care.

Deliver scheduled individual and family psychotherapy through approved telehealth or outpatient settings using approaches supported by the client's needs and the therapist's demonstrated competence.

Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews and behavioral health assessments that address symptoms, functioning, strengths, risks, family context, and relevant service needs.

Establish or confirm diagnoses within Texas licensure scope and Chancewell privileges, documenting clinical reasoning and medical necessity when required.

Create person-centered treatment plans with measurable goals, clinically appropriate interventions, and clear criteria for reviewing progress.

Assess risk throughout treatment, complete safety planning when indicated, and follow Chancewell escalation procedures for urgent clinical concerns.

Complete session notes, assessments, treatment-plan reviews, and other required records accurately and within established documentation timeframes.

Coordinate authorized care with psychiatric providers, primary-care professionals, schools, hospitals, families, and community partners while protecting confidentiality.

Collaborate with mental health case managers and rehabilitation specialists while preserving the boundaries between psychotherapy, case management, and rehabilitative services.

Participate in case consultation, utilization review, documentation review, peer learning, and interdisciplinary care planning.

Manage scheduling, attendance follow-up, planned transitions, and caseload communication in a reliable and professionally accountable manner.

Required

Minimum qualifications

Active, unrestricted Texas LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license.
Independent practice authority without associate-level supervision.
Competence in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, psychotherapy, risk assessment, and documentation.
Ability to pass credentialing, background, exclusion, and other required screenings.
Reliable technology and private workspace for approved telehealth and documentation responsibilities.

Preferred qualifications

Community behavioral health or Medicaid managed-care experience.
Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, or families.
Trauma-informed, family-centered, or culturally responsive training.
Crisis assessment, safety planning, and medical-necessity documentation experience.
