Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations that address symptoms, history, functioning, risk, prior treatment, medical factors, and diagnostic considerations.
Establish and document psychiatric diagnoses within scope, training, collaborative requirements, and Chancewell privileges.
Develop individualized medication-treatment plans, including informed consent, expected benefits, material risks, alternatives, and follow-up intervals.
Prescribe, adjust, continue, or discontinue medications when clinically appropriate and within applicable Texas and federal requirements.
Monitor treatment response, adherence, adverse effects, interactions, and changes in risk or functioning at each clinically appropriate follow-up.
Order, review, and act on clinically indicated laboratory or diagnostic information and coordinate medical follow-up when needed.
Complete evaluation, prescribing, medication-reconciliation, and follow-up documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
Coordinate authorized care with therapists, primary-care providers, families, pharmacies, hospitals, and community-service teams.
Participate in clinical escalation, consultation, quality review, peer review, and medication-safety processes.
